Sheryl Birkhead is a fanzine editor, writer and fan artist.

Sheryl Birkhead was born, and lives, in Maryland, U.S.A., where she works as a veterinarian. She began contributing to science fiction fanzines in the early 1970s, and during the mid 1970s, was the editor of The National Fantasy Fan. During this time she became best known as a fan artist, and her illustrations have graced the pages, and covers such as Opuntia, and It Goes On The Shelf, of many fanzines of both science fiction and fantasy genres.

In the 1990s she also began contributing articles to fanzines such as Mimosa, and Challenger, adding yet another talent to her resume.
