Trap Door is a science fiction fanzine by Robert Lichtman.
Previously Robert Lichtman had published PSI-PHI in the 1950s, and Frap and 100% Whole Wheat with Miriam Knight (formerly Miriam Carr, now Miriam Lloyd) (Klein Bottle, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Poughkeepsie) in the early 1960s. After a period of being away from fandom he returned in the 1980s and began publishing Trap Door in 1983 in California, U.S.A.
Contributing writers have included Mal Ashworth, Ron Bennett (Ploy, Skyrack), Jeanne Bowman, rich brown, Gregg Calkins (Oopsla!), Carol Carr, Terry Carr (Lighthouse), Calvin Demmon, Mike Dobson, Gordon Eklund, Steve Green, Rob Hansen (Chuch), Lucy Huntzinger, Arnie Katz (Vegas Fandom Weekly), Dave Langford (Ansible), Eric Mayer (E-Ditto), Joel Nydahl (Vega), Chris Priest, Steve Stiles, Bob Tucker (Le Zombie), Shelby Vick (Confusion), and Ted White.
Also included were reprints of articles by writers such as Charles Burbee (Shangri L'Affaires) and art work by Lee Hoffman, Bill Rotsler and Arthur Thomson.
Included in #17 was the poem by Julia Vinograd, For Dick Ellington, Berkeley Typesetter, on the occasion of his passing.
The article "The Cracked Eye" by Gary Hubbard was selected for reprinting in Fanthology '87.
