A LetterHack is a writer whose main interaction with zines is by writing Letters of Comment (or LoCs).
This phrase is most common among science fiction fanzine editors and fans. Among the best-known LetterHacks are the late Harry Warner, Jr. (Spaceways, Horizons), Lloyd Penney (Torus),, Robert Lichtman, Milt Stevens, Steve Jeffery and E.B. Frohvet (Twink).
