Spearhead was a literary and poetry zine edited by Thomas H. Carter and published in the 1950s.
Contributors included R. Flavie Carson, Stanton Coblentz (Wings), e.e.cummings, August Derluth, David H. Keller, Joe Kennedy (Vampire), Lilith Lorraine (Different, Challenge, Flame), Art Rapp, Clark Ashton Smith, Bob Tucker (Le Zombie), and William Carlos Williams.
The last issue published was Spearhead Vol. 2 No. 2, which appeared in Spring 1951.
Thomas H. Carter was also one of the founders and editors of The Shenandoah Review and, upon his tragic death in 1963 at age 32, was made the namesake of its literary prize.
