A LetterHack is a writer whose main or most notable interaction with zines is by writing Letters of Comment (or LoCs).

This phrase is most common among science fiction fanzine editors and fans. Among the best-known LetterHacks are the late Harry Warner, Jr. (Spaceways, Horizons), Lloyd Penney (Torus),, Robert Lichtman (Trap Door), Milt Stevens, Steve Jeffery and E.B. Frohvet (Twink).
