Donny Smith is a writer and zinester from Bellafonte, Pennsylvania.
Donny 's first zine was created in the 1990's, when he produced Dwan. Originally a poetry zine, it grew to include contributions of all kinds, such as translations, short stories and zine reviews. During this time he was also a regular contributor to the seminal queer zine, Holy Titclamps. He began contributing to other zines as well during the 1990's and into the 2000's, including The Glovebox Chronicles and was a regular writer for Xerography Debt.
Donny Smith has also published a chapbook entitled Solanas. Its subject is Valerie Solanas, author of The S.C.U.M. Manifesto and the subject of the film I Shot Andy Warhol. The book begins with an interview with Mary Harron, director of I Shot Andy Warhol , followed by a reference section and movie reviews, and includes interviews with Valerie Solanas, biographical sources, movies she appeared in and versions of her Manifesto in print or on the Internet.
