Donny Smith is a writer and zinester from Nebraska.

Donny Smith's current zine was begun in the early 1990's, when he produced Dwan. Originally a poetry zine, it grew to include contributions of all kinds, such as translations, short stories and zine reviews. During this time he was also a contributor to the seminal queer zine, Holy Titclamps. He began contributing to other zines as well during the 1990's, and into the 2000's, including The Glovebox Chronicles. Donny is also a regular writer and reviewer for Xerography Debt.

Several issues of Dwan have been devoted to Valerie Solanas, author of SCUM Manifesto and subject of the film I Shot Andy Warhol. These issues include an interview with Mary Harron, director of I Shot Andy Warhol, bibliographies, biographical sources, lists of movies she appeared in, and lists of versions of the manifesto in print or on the Internet.
