Hi Drew, Thanks for all the great additions to Zine Wiki! It's really exciting to read about the fanzines you are adding.

I have a question: I was under the impression that A. Joquel's fanzine FMZ Digest wasn't a reprint fanzine in the sense that Terry Carr meant it - in other words, A Joquel was reprinting work from the fanzines that were running at the time he was publishing, rather than reprinting older material. Am I wrong about that? I have never seen the fanzine, so I really don't know. Thanks, InvisibleFriend 06:34, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

You're right about FMZ Digest: Joquel was collecting what he thought to be the best articles published in the fanzines that came out in the 2-3 months prior to each issue of FMZ Digest. So, yes, it was more of a best-of anthology than a reprint fmz in Carr's sense.

Glad to be contributing. Makes me feel like there's some point in all this stuff I've amassed...in the basement and in my head. Will try to keep adding more as time and energy allow.

Will also try to add cover scans at some point, but need to figure out the protocols for doing this though first. --Drew morse 06:46, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

If you need any help with adding cover scans, just ask! Basically what I do is resize the image in Photoshop first, save it to my desktop, and then upload it. If you look to the bottom right, there is a link there for uploading files. It will take you through the steps. If it seems confusing, please don't hesitate to ask for help! Once it's uploaded, I just copy the name of the file, then go to the article and add and add in any info I want to include, and end with.

Yes, I know what you mean about being able to do something with all the stuff we've discovered! Happy editing! InvisibleFriend 06:58, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Star*Line

I wanted to offer you an explanation for having edited out "Ebon Lute" from "Star*Line", even though you're quite correct to add it. The reason is that some of the longer articles with many contributors could possibly end up with a long list of zines after the contributors names: for example, Sutton Breiding has published at least 6 titles, which I'd love to add at some point in the future (if I can find the covers online). So what I try to do is to add the titles which most closely correspond to dates when the zine featured was published, in this case "Star*Line" - "Ebon Lute" was published before Star*Line" existed, so I deleted it, but if you or I added an article about another title Breiding published that existed at the same time as "Star*Line" was being published, then that title would be added to his credits. I hope this isn't hopelessly confusing. It's not a rule, it's just what I've been doing to try to make things manageable. However, to make it more confusing, if it is a short article about a zine that I don't have much information for, then I would probably list all the titles an editor had released, just so the reader will get something out of the article.

I hope this isn't too off-putting! I just wanted to give you the reasons for editing your work. InvisibleFriend 07:46, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Fanatic Fanzine

Hi Drew, I've moved The Fantatic Fanzine to Fanatic Fanzine, just in case you're looking for it. InvisibleFriend 21:36, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Marge B. Simon

Hi Drew, We should do an article for Marge B. Simon. Do you think she would prefer it to be titled "Margaret B. Simon" or "Marge B. Simon"?InvisibleFriend 23:23, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

I've always known her as Marge, and most of her by-lines in the past decade have been under Marge, so I'd go with that...and I agree that a page for her would be a great idea.

Thanks Drew, I appreciate your help. I'm starting the article, Marge B. Simon, please add to it whenever you have time. InvisibleFriend 10:31, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Gerry de la Ree

Hey Drew, do you know the source for this info: ""Gerry ... co-authored two Captain America stories in 1942?" Someone from comics.org is looking for more info for their website and just emailed me:

"I do indexing at comics.org, Fiction Mags and a few other sites and I'd like to pin down those stories. Plus find out who that co-author is -- I suspect its Otto Binder and not Stan Lee. Thanks, Art Lortie, alortie4 at aol dot com" dan10things (talk) 15:37, 27 May 2015 (PDT)
