The Fort (ISBN 978-1-7336919-0-1) is a short horror story by Alan Lastufka. The Fort was Alan's first published short story, released on April 28, 2020, and was available as an eBook, audiobook, and Limited Linocut Edition print zine.

Teenage best friends Aaron and Tim have their own hideout in the woods. It’s an old reclaimed cabin nicknamed the Fort. And it just grew a new door.

Limited Linocut Edition

In October 2020, Alan printed a very small run of print copies of The Fort. The cover was a hand-printed linocut image, wrapped in vellum. It's 5.5" x 7.25", 24 pages, and saddle stitched. The first printing was limited to 25 copies in red ink. This run sold out within a day and a second print run, limited to 25 copies in forest green ink, was created a few days later.
