Contributing writers have included Ron Bennett (Ploy, Skyrack), rich brwon, Calvin Demmon, Gordon Eklund, Lucy Hunzinger, Dave Langford (Ansible), Joel Nydahl (Vega), Chris Priest, Steve Stiles, and Ted White.

Trap Door first won the FAAn Award for Best Fanzine in 2000, with "No.1 Fan Face" Award going to Robert Lichtman.
