Axe is a science fiction fanzine by Larry Shaw (1924-1985) and Noreen Shaw (1930-2005).
Published in the 1960's in Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A. Axe was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Fanzine in 1962.
Axe began life in April 1961 as a newssheet reporting on the WAW Fund to bring Walt Willis and Madelaine Willis to the U.S.A. to the 1962 Worldcon, the 10th Anniversary of their first trip to the U.S.A. It also included relevant fan news, and after the Willis Find was a success, the editors decided to make it a general interest fanzine.
