The Mystery Fancier was a fanzine published by Guy M. Townsend.

The Mystery Fancier was published in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S.A. in the 1970s and in Osceola, Arkansas, and West Chester, Pennsylvania, in the 1980s. As the title suggests, was devoted to mystery literature and film, including characters such as Bulldog Drummond, Matt Helm, Sam Spade, Philo Vance, Nero Wolfe, and writers such as Doris Miles Disney, Tony Hillerman, Geoffrey Homes, P.D. James, Sax Rohmer, Alexandra Roudybush, Rex Stout, and many others.

Contributors of writing included Jane S. Bakerman, R. Jeff Banks, Joseph Barbato, E.F. Bleiler, Robert E. Briney, Neysa Chouteau, William F. Deeck, Mary Jean DeMarr, George N.
