A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Poughkeepsie
A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Poughkeepsie was a science fiction fandom fanzine by Miriam Knight.
Published, obviously, in Poughkeepsie, New York, U.S.A., A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Poughkeepsie was an 8 page fanzine distributed by the Fantasy Amateur Press Association, and included in mailing #103, February 1963.
It included the articles "The Transcendental Fanne, "My Favorite TV Show", "In Memoriam: Duchess County", and "Dear Sillies".
Contributors included Jerry Knight, Margo Newkom and Steve Stiles.
After the publication of this fanzine Miriam Knight had presumably had enough of Poughkeepsie since in April 1963 she and husband Jerry moved to Berkeley, California.
Miriam Knight then did the fanzines 100% Whole Wheat with Robert Lichtman (later editor of Trap Door) in the 1960s, as well as her own fanzine, Q.E.D.. She had previously co-published Klein Bottle (as Miriam Carr) with Terry Carr.
