Lauren Martin has been writing zines for more than 10 years.
She retired from perzine writing in 2005 with the final, sixth issue of her zine, Quantify, which she began publishing in 1999 upon her move to Portland, OR. In Quantify, she critiqued and wrote often of activism, being biracial, being a queer, and art, along with the occasional works of fiction. She says she will still continue to occasionally publish her art zine, Art Missive, and other artist books. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and attends grad school.
As a contributor to zines, Lauren's writing appeared in How to Stage a Coup and she was interviewed for zines such as Pure Tuna Fish in the 1990s.
