Shawna Kenney is a zinester and the author of the award-winning memoir, I Was a Teenage Dominatrix (Last Gasp), which has been translated abroad and optioned for film.
In the 1980's she was co-editor, with Pam Hite, of No Scene Zine. This Washington D.C. punk zine ran from 1986 to 1989, during which time it featured interviews with a host of punk groups. Hite and Kenney also contributed scene reports and photos to Maximum Rock N Roll from the Maryland, Virginia and Washington area.
