Hit List was published in the 1980's and 1990's by Bale, who was well known as a contributor and columnist for the long running punk zine Maximum Rock N Roll and a DJ for the Maximum Rock N Roll radio show.
Many notable zine writers contributed to Hit List, including Alan Wright and Rev. Randall Tin-Ear.
