Sikander was published in Australia from October 1979 till March 1989. Fifteen issues appeared during the run of the zine.
Contributions of writing included "The Ones Who Walk Away from Melbourne" by Cy Chauvin, and "Trains in the Distance" by Bruce Gillespie, both of which were included in the compilation fanzine Fanthology '87.
