Jean Martin and Chris Garcia began co-editing Science Fiction / San Francisco after the original editor, Jack Avery, stepped down after issue nine. Prior to that, both Martin and Garcia had been contributors. In December 2009, Garcia left as co-editor, leaving Jean Martin As Editor-in-Chief, and Espana Sheriff as Editor.
