398 is a zine made by Elizabeth J. M. W., who lives in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The zine consists of short fiction stories which have a fairy tale feel. In some issues there are also non-fiction writing and reviews for zines and books.
The first issue was published in January 2003. As of May 2009, there have been ten issues. Each issue varies in presentation. The first issue featured x-ray film as the cover. The third issue was 1/8 sized with 74 pages and had a fold out tree, while the eighth issue was only 12 pages long, 1/2 sized vertically and had a colourful spider stamp on the cover.
