Your experience, history and knowledge will be very much appreciated by Zine Wiki, along with your help, Goblinko! I understand your dislike of the wiki concept. I used to edit at Wikipedia for a time, where I was interested in documenting different subcultural movements and activites, and the people who generated them; for instance the list of fanzines was one article I hoped to expand. However, the insistence of that Wiki on accepting references from only mainstream, supposedly 'reputable' media sources such as the New York Times meant that these activities, movements and projects, many of them in opposition to, and unrecognized by the mainstream,  were continually getting deleted by other editors who questioned their value. That's when I found Zine Wiki, luckily, and thought my time would be better spent here, rather than at Wikipedia where I was forced to waste my time engaged in arguments with unknowledgable editors over the validity of such topics. So here I am! I've long been interested in zines and I think the documentation of such activites is one way of preserving the history of a subcultural movement that encourages active participation. Similarly, Zine Wiki also encourages readers to be participants rather than a mute audience, which is one valuable feature of a wiki, or at least this one! Well, I hope this answers your questions and addresses some of your concerns and I look forward to reading your articles! [[User:InvisibleFriend|InvisibleFriend]] 08:46, 1 December 2007 (EST)

Hi Goblinko! Welcome to Zine Wiki. Thanks for your contributions here, and please feel free to add more articles about any zines or zinesters we haven't covered yet. If you need help with anything don't hesitate to ask. I'm one of the administrators here and hopefully I'll be able to answer any questions you might have. Happy editing! InvisibleFriend 08:46, 1 December 2007 (EST)
