Before creating a new page, please have a look through the introduction pages...

Welcome to ZineWiki, the open-source encyclopedia devoted to zines and independent media. You're invited to add your project, contribute additional information to already existing pages, or to edit what’s already published. Not sure how?

Creating a new page on ZineWiki is not complex. The easiest method is to simply complete a "Search" for whatever you'd like your new page to be titled. For example, if you wanted to add a page for your distro, simply search "My Distro Name" and work through the following three steps:

Step 1. Complete a Search

This ensures that there isn't already a page started with the same title as yours. For our tutorial here, I will call my new page, well, "My New Page"

Step 2. Click Create This Page

If there isn't an existing page, feel free to create one and add information to it. You can create a new page by clicking on the link that appears in your Search results:

Step 3. Add Content

Type until your heart's content. Add your distro's history, talk about any noteworthy projects, the zine events you've tabled at, and don't forget to add a link to your site at the bottom of the page.

The final step before saving your page is adding the appropriate wiki tag at the bottom. Please see this page for more information on proper wiki tagging.

Once you're finished, click "Save Page" at the bottom and you're done!
