Michael Jackman (from Detroit, MI) published the zine Inspector 18. For several years, he also served as news editor for Zine World: A Reader's Guide to the Underground Press.

In 2000, Jackman co-founded the Underground Literary Alliance and, for a time, served as the organization's director. During this time, he released the one shot zine Wet Firecracker. He no longer maintains a high profile within the ULA.

Jackman is an anarchist and film school dropout. He served in the United States Army.
