The Australian Science Fiction Review, formerly the Australian Science Fiction Newsletter, was an Australian science fiction fanzine edited and published by John Bangsund.

Between June 1966 and June 1969 Bangsund released twenty issues, until he relaunched the fanzine as Scythrop.

Contributors included Brian Aldiss, John Baxter, James Blish (The Planeteer), A. Bertram Chandler, Jim Ellis (as 'Jay Wallis'), John Foyster, Bruce Gillespie (SF Commentary), Lee Harding (Perhaps), Langdon Jones, Ursula Le Guin, Michael Moorcock (A Fanzine Called Eustace, Typo), Sam Moskowitz (Helios, New Fandom), Bernard O'Dowd, Thomas Love Peacock, Franz Rottensteiner, Bob Sessions (as 'Scribarius'), Bob Toomey, and George Turner.

The Australian Science Fiction Review won the Ditmar Award for Best Fanzine in 1969, the first year it was presented.
