Askance is the bimonthly fanzine edited and published by John Purcell since March, 2007.
It is available on-line in PDF format at efanzines.com, but is also available in a 'Dead Tree' (printed) version if you request one from John.
Notable writers and artists who have contributed to Askance are Brad Foster, Chris Garcia (The Drink Tank), Taral Wayne (DNQ), Arnie Katz (Vegas Fandom Weekly),Gregory Benford, Bill Rotsler, Frank Wu, Steve Stiles, Lloyd Penney, Bill Fischer, and many others. Askance finished in fifth place in the FAAn Award voting for Best Fanzine in 2008 and 2009.
