Bonfire was the official organ of the NFFF.
The National Fantasy Fan Federation, or N3F as it was commonly referred to, was a fan-run organization which was started in the U.S.A. 1941, and the same year began publishing its official organ, Bonfire.
Harry Warner, Jr., in "All Our Yesterdays", relates the history; "The NFFF had begun in the form of a brief article by Damon Knight - 'Unit or Fie!", wich was printed in Art Widner's Fanfare. It picked up interest fairly fast. By the second issue of Bonfire, the organisation has 29 members..."
