Pioneers Press is a publishing house and small-press distro focusing on survival and sustainability from the farm to the city, in addition to health, gender, sexuality, and a cruelty-free lifestyle. Pioneers Press release titles seasonally and work with domestic printers to use recycled paper and vegan bindings.
Operating on a farm in rural Kansas, Pioneers Press is owned by Jessie Duke and was started by former Microcosm Publishing collective members. Pioneers Press operated temporarily under the name "Microcosm Distribution" but dropped the name as it gave the false impression they were still associated in some way with Microcosm Publishing. Pioneers Press no longer carry any Microcosm Publishing titles or support the company or its owner in any way.
