Flea Beetle is a hard-hitting zine out of Toledo, Ohio. The zinester discusses the contradictions of states and governments whose stated health policies contradict their support of tobacco growers and corporations. Essays proceed from an anarchist perspective, providing a critical analysis of addiction culture and one-dimensional society as posed by Herbert Marcuse and other social philosophers. Flea Beetle provides an edgy, alternative voice to consumerism and the promotion of tobacco in the mass media.
Flea Beetle is issued irregularly in an 8 x 5.5 in. format, with bright yellow covers.
