Scorcher is a perzine by Max Steele, using the pseudonym "Billy Cheer".

First published in the 2000's, Scorcher is a queer zine.

In issue one of Scorcher, 'Billy Cheer' declares, "We live in Fag City". In an interview with Brontez, he explains that it is an idyllic location that can be made a reality by not just boy fags but girls and trans people too, and ends with a quote from Alice Walker, "We Are The Ones We Have Been Waiting For".

Aside from his writing, Scorcher also consists of the editor's retelling of his dates and sexual misadventures.

Max Steele is also a musician, writer, model and actor.
