Gordonzola is the pen name for Gordon Edgar, a San Francisco-based writer and professional "cheese monger". For years, he was a zine reviewer for Maximum Rock N Roll and Zine World: A Reader's Guide to the Underground Press.
Gordonzola was the creator of Epicenter Zine, a one-shot devoted to the rise-and-fall of S.F.'s Epicenter Zone, a punk record store and info-shop.
For the past 12 years, Gordonzola has worked as a cheese buyer for Rainbow Grocery, the largest worker-owned co-op in America.
He has written extensively on the subject of worker co-ops, punk rock, cheesemaking, food safety, and zines.
