Mike Sawyer is a St. Paul, Minnesota based zinester and musician.
From 1990-1992, Sawyer was part of the editorial collective behind the anti-war newspaper Free Association. Sawyer also contributed to the poetry zine Urge To Spit. At a young age, Sawyer began volunteering at Northern Sun News, a regional political newspaper that grew out of the anti-nuclear movement, becoming the NSN office manager while still in high school.
In the late-1990's, Sawyer published the bi-weekly poetry zine Bomb Threat Checklist, in which the editors challenged themselves to put out a new issue every other week.
In the year 2000, Sawyer released a benefit CD called: "Trees and Water: Songs of the Resistance to the Reroute of Highway 55."
He has served on the Board of Directors of Mississippi Market, a natural foods co-op.
