Focused on a community of self-publishing in the mitten
The Grand Rapids Zine Fest was first held at the 106 Gallery on Division street in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. John Porcellino designed their first poster and there was a really great turnout, which solidified the desire to make the zine fest an annual event.
Registration is currently open: Individual zinesters must register for a half-size table ($8) and only Distros may register for full-size tables ($15). There are workshops and various fundraising events leading up to the fest (Benefit nights at various restaurants, Pancake buffets, movie viewings, etc).
