Today she's a freelance journalist, often writing about work and labor issues. Her articles have appeared in The Brooklyn Rail, Dollars & Sense, Clamor, Maximum Rock 'N' Roll, The New Standard, and a variety of other progressive publications. Madeleine is originally from Wisconsin, but is currently a graduate student at New York University's Graduate School of Journalism.
