Caught In Flux was a fanzine published in New York City from 1993-1999 by Mike Appelstein.
Appelstein was "a huge fan" of the early Eighties post-punk music scene. In later issues, he set out to document the artists on Rough Trade and Cherry Red Records.
Caught In Flux #4 included an interview with Palmolive, former drummer for The Slits and The Raincoats, who had emigrated to the U.S.A. and become a Born Again Christian. Instead of disavowing her punk rock past, Palmolive played in a church band, performing Christianized versions of Slits songs such as "Frequent Mutilation."
Caught In Flux is included in the Sophia Smith Zine Collection at Smith College.
