Temp Slave! Issue #11

Temp Slave! was a zine about temp work, published by Madison, WI resident Jeff Kelly from 1993 until the early 2000s.

Temp Slave! was at the forefront of providing a voice for disgruntled temporary workers. The zine featured contributions from a number of zine editors, including Debbie Goad of ANSWER Me! and Michelle of Trailer Trash. The zine was featured in 1996's Zine Yearbook, as well as 1997's The Factsheet Five Zine Reader, the same year Kelly authored the book Best of Temp Slave!, which is still widely available. The zine was the inspiration for Temp Slave the musical, which toured the U.S. in 2001.

You walk into the workplace as a temp, and it's like you're an alien. -Jeff Kelly

Temp Slave! is included in the West Coast Zine Collection at San Diego State University.
