The Cheap Vegan was a monthly zine written by Stephanie Scarborough from August 2002-November 2004. There were 18 issues published. Issue 19 was written, but never released. All issues are now out-of-print.
The Cheap Vegan contained frugal vegan recipes and tips for grocery shopping, cooking, and growing food. In November 2003, The Incompleat Cheap Vegan, a collection of the first 12 issues, was released, but is now also out of print. A book that contains all 19 issues is now in the works.
