Jake Austen is a Chicago zinester and musician. He is the publisher of the long-running music zine Roctober.
Austen is co-producer (and chief puppeteer) for the cable variety show CHIC-A-GO-GO.
CHIC-A-GO-GO is an all-ages dance party modeled after Sixties television programs such as American Bandstand and Kiddie-A-Go-Go. The program is hosted by Miss Mia (a human) and Ratso (a Straight Edge rat puppet). "Ratso" also appears as a regular character in Austen's Punk'n Head comics.
Jake Austen sings for The Goblins, a masked rock 'n' roll band.
