Blatch was published by artist Jim Blanchard out of Oklahoma during the 1980s. The zine included a mix of illustrations and graphic artwork from underground artists XNO, Sloane, Vince Ransid, D. Worden, Jymm, Blanchard, Kegel and more, coupled with photos, band interviews and reviews. The zine walked the line between punk zine and art zine. Bands interviewed in issues of Blatch included Die Kreuzen, Black Flag, the Butthole Surfers and Charlie Harper from the UK Subs.
Today Blanchard lives in Seattle, WA and is an accomplished poster and pop artist.
