SHORT/wave zine is the first issue in the /wave project zine series created by DJ Frederick. Other issues include: AIR/waves, RADIO/waves and WAVE/length. Each focuses primarily on shortwave pirate radio. Pirates are unlicensed broadcasters advocating for free speech and creativity in the radio spectrum. There are many FM pirates but only a handful of pirates who broadcast on the obscure frequencies of shortwave.
