Have You Seen the Dog Lately is clever, funny, snide and childish; then all of a sudden there's an essay popping up in the middle somewhere that's down right sublime. HYStDL is mostly for laughs with sister editors, Jenny Makofsky and Serena Makofsky, plus Megan Tucker sometimes. Also look for the original comic The Beats about Bart and Beaulah, the dressed-in-black, beret wearing, coffee drinking, couple that are always pondering the deeper meanings of life - sort of.
The zine was published out of Oakland, California from the mid-1990s through 2002 or so, and the authors frequently participated in the Alternative Press Expo.
