Gwenael Rattke is a zine editor and artist.
Gwenael Rattke began his zine, called Easily Grossed Out, in the early 1990's. It was a queer punk publication that was written in both the English and French languages. Issues were initially published from Rennes, France, and then later from the U.S.A. Aside from his own writing, the zine featured interviews with hardcore bands such as Christ on a Crutch and Capitalist Casualties, and with zine editor Jason of Kill The Robot. The zine was included in issue six of Outpunk, which was an anthology of queer zines the editor deemed influential.
Gwenael Rattke was one of the stars of Gary Fembot's film The Oners, which was featured on Kill Rock Stars Video Fanzine # 2. He is also featured in Fembot's "Mondo Bottomless" and "AIDS Camp".
In the 2000's, Rattke created the cover artwork for both CD releases of the Montreal, Quebec-based band Lesbians On Ecstasy. In 2004, he co-edited the Klaus Nomi-based zine Apocalypse Then with D-L Alvarez and in 2008 began contributing to, and designing the literary journal Bordercrossing Berlin.
He had solo art shows at Ping Pong Gallery in San Francisco in 2008 and 2010.
