Breakfast Without Meat was an arty punky zine edited by Gregg Turkington and Lizzy Kate Gray.
Breakfast Without Meat was published from 1983-1991, mainly out of San Francisco, California, U.S.A. Frequent contributors included Grux from Caroliner Rainbow and Derrick Bostrom of the Meat Puppets. Interview subjects included Flipper, Frightwig, Meat Puppets, Husker Du, Minimal Man, Sun City Girls, Pete Townshend, Jimmy Webb, Tiny Tim, Hal Blaine, and Mark Eitzel. Gregg was also a member of Hello Kitty on Ice and Bean Church, and much later, the Zip Code Rapists, Easy Goings, and Faxed Head...San Francisco bands with an off-kilter sense of humor.
