Goad eventually filed a restraining order against Ryan, but their  relationship continued until 1998, when he was arrested and served a prison term for beating her. Goad chronicles his relationship with Ryan in his book ''Shit Magnet''. Today Ryan has become a born-again Christian, gotten married and changed her name to Sky Ryan Cross.

Sky Ryan is a Portland janitor and zine writer.

Sky Ryan published roughly half a dozen zines in the mid-1990s, including Cryptic Crap, Schmooze and 1985: The Anti-Scene Zine. Her work was featured in the Factsheet Five Zine Reader. She and Azmacourt's Marc Parker produced a DIY movie, which was released in 2005. She no longer publishes zines.
