Horizontal Action Magazine was an inspirational underground rock'n roll and sex publication that published from 1997 to 2005 and published 15 issues. The zine published some of the earliest interviews with garage and punk bands like The Spits, Lost Sounds, Reatards, The Clone Defects, and many more. The Horizontal Action staff founded and hosted the popular Chicago Blackout Festivals from 2001 to 2006.
Back issues of the magazine are currently available online. The two main editors, Brett and Todd, now run VictimofTime.com and HoZac Records.
