Ciara started Learning to Leave a Paper Trail after moving to Boston, MA and stopping production on her zine, A Renegade's Handbook to Love & Sabotage. Learning to Leave a Paper Trail was based in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts from 2003-August 2009, when Ciara moved to Lawrence, Kansas. Learning to Leave a Paper Trail was based in Lawrence for five months. Ciara closed the distro in January 2010.
