Ten Foot Rule is a comic zine published by Shawn Granton of Portland, Oregon. The title is derived from a customer service "rule" that a worker should say hello to any customer who comes within ten feet. Shawn's pictoral narratives illustrate a life of bicycles, traveling, and feeling awkward.
In the past, artists such as Carrie McNinch and Androo Robinson have contributed to Ten Foot Rule.
Ten Foot Rule was on of the zines selected by Mobilivre-Bookmobile to be part of its travelling library of independent publications which annually toured across North America from 2001 till 2006.
