Ricochet! Ricochet! started out as a split zine between two friends in Cardiff and Brighton, but both editors now live in London.
It is supposedly a music zine, though very rarely features reviews or interviews, but mostly surreal examinings of bands and musicians or music 'scenes' through things such as fake agony aunt columns, celebrities talking about their favourite new bands or dissections of indie-celeb brains. It often features irreverent articles such as food recipies, guides to things and colouring competitions.
Issue 1 has interviews with Art Brut and Bearsuit.
Issue 2 has reviews of coachwhips and gravy train!!!! and cardiff/brighton city guides.
Issue 3
Issue 4 was written during the move to London so mainly is about this transition.
Issue 5 was the numetal issue.
Issue 6 has cover art by Laura Mardon and contains writing on hole, music and zine reviews.
Issue 7 features zine reviews and an interview with Ginger Brooks Takahashi
Issue 8 comes with a bootleg cd of a gig the writers put on, and has artwork by elm realm (of King Mustache zine).
Ricochet! Ricochet! also functioned as a distro, selling zines by other people, at gigs around london, and events like Ladyfest and zine conventions.
