Basement Freak's D.i.Y. Distro was started around 2002 by Ashley Lambert in order to highlight and distribute Canadian [[zine|zines]].  The distro carried punk and [[perzine|perzines]] such as [[The Pleiades]] and [[Pick Your Poison]], as well as Ashley's own personal/political zine, [[Alien Basement Food]].  It closed in September 2003.
