The first Zinefest Mülheim was held on Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at the AZ Mülheim in Mülheim an der Ruhr. It was organized by Fabian Frense of Erode Releases, Frederique Kiesendahl and Peter Strickmann of the Flubp Zines.
Exhibitors on twentysix stalls included Corndog, Erode Releases, Marching stars, It's not just boys' fun, Else Joffi, Mujinga and Mad moron's mirror.
The bands were Blockshot, Bollo, Les Trucs and Cotopaxi, the films $100 & A T-Shirt: A Documentary About Zines in the Northwest and Trash Talking from Paper Rad, making a communal zine, a reading corner and an art exhibition from Franka Lewandowski.

The second Zinefest Mülheim will be held on April 25 and 26, 2009 organized by Fabian Frense, Frederique Kiesendahl and Anselm Lorenz.
A zinefair, open exhibition, reading corner, workshops, films, bands, food, communal zine, breakfast and zine readings are planned for those one and a half days.
