A writer is someone who writes and engages in the activity of writing. Writing is the process by which oral language is transformed into visual-graphic representations of sound. Writers are manipulators of language, sound, and meaning. Writers attempt to communicate their thoughts with others, and with themselves as they organize their ideas using process of writing.
