may I offer a hopefully helpful hint? If you look to your left you will see a heading entitled "toolbox"; at the bottom you'll see the category "Special Pages" ; click on this and look for "Dead End Pages"; these Dead End pages are created when an editor doesn't "wikify" or link anything in an article. The best way to avoid this is by creating a link by using two , and ending with . Most commonly in articles the word zine is linked to the article about zines, but terms such as activist, or movements such as punk also have articles, as do hardcore, anarchism, Mail Art. You can click on the category heading at the bottom of every article and then go to "Terms" to find many more. Then just use whatever is applicable! Hi again Belcoboy. Another helpful hint; are you aware that unless people go to the "Recent Changes" section of Zine Wiki, that they won't be able to read your articles because you haven't listed them?
 +
Unfortunately, Zine Wiki doesn't automatically list articles about zines; you must manually go to the "quick Links" section at the lest of your sceen and manually enter each zine under the appropriate letter. I have done this for a couple of the titles you've created articles for, such as Cane toad warrior; however, I have no idea how many titles you've written articles for, and so I can't go back and enter each one. If you want as many people as possible to be able to read your articles, it would be a good idea to do this! : ) InvisibleFriend 02:01, 26 August 2007 (EDT)

Your assistance aand helpful hints are very much appreciated. I was not aware of the issues you raised, however, I think that I have been able to rectify most of them (Wikifying and listing articles in quick links), and will over the next couple of weeks expand the existing entries as I receive more information. I also wikified/categorised some of the 'Dead end pags' that I didn't create, however, there are a number remaining which have limited or no information which didn't lend themselves to straightforward wikifying. Hopefully, after all the Aussie entries I've added there will be a bit more of a broader geographical spread of entries, that updates and expands on existing online listings/directories. Cheers. I'm happy to be of assistance and I'm glad you found the information useful. Thanks for trying to clear away more of the 'Dead-End' pages. There have always been some that have resisted being wikified, so there's no great need to worry about that, but it's great to see they are down to a reasonable amount! Hi Belcoboy! I've nominated a couple of articles for deletion and I'd very much like to hear your opinion on the matter, you being one of the more prolific editors here at Zine Wiki. The articles are Featherproof books, Zach Dodson, My Pencil Lead Broke. If you can please leave your opinion on the respective discussion pages of the articles in question, we can all decide what to do about these articles. Thanks a lot for your time and interest! ==Recategorizing==

Hi Belcoboy, I just wanted to let you know that I've been re-categorizing the section "Category:Australian Zines" as "Category:Zines from Australia". I'm doing this for a couple of reasons. First, this helps distinguish the category for countries from the categories for Provinces and States: for instance you've created a category of Canberra , whichis "Category:Canberra Zines"; in the U.S., there are categories for each of the States, siche they are so many zines produced there, so each State has a category, such as "Category:New York Zines" and there are categories for the Provinces of Canada as well, such as "category:Ontario Zines". Second, I am trying to create a certain amount of consistency in the categories of Zine Wiki, and all the other countries are now categorized as "Category: Zines from Canada" or "Category:Zines from the U.S.A.", etc., etc., so I'm trying to bring the Australian zines in line with this. I think this will make it easier for those people who are using Zine Wiki for resaerch and reference to be able to more easily find what they are looking for, and for zine fans to find the zines they wish to send for, or get in touch with. So I'd very much appreciate your help, and if you could remember to categorize Australian zines under "Category:Zines from Australia" from now on, that would be great! Thanks. ==Nominations for Deletion==

Hi Belcoboy, Thanks for bringing that article to my attention. If you wish to nominate something for deletion you can just type the word 'delete' surrounded by two of these (I can't actually do it here, otherwise it would appear as if I was deleting your talk page!). It's a good idea to let other editors know when you've nominated a page to be deleted, so that everyone can offer their opinions. So please go ahead and nominate this article for deletion and we'll see what others think. I can tell you already that i agree with you! Dead End Pages

Hi Belcoboy, Your contributions are very interesting and it's great to have them all on Zine Wiki. Since it seems you are going to be around for awhile, unlike a lot of other editors, ; ) may I offer a hopefully helpful hint? If you look to your left you will see a heading entitled "toolbox"; at the bottom you'll see the category "Special Pages" ; click on this and look for "Dead End Pages"; these Dead End pages are created when an editor doesn't "wikify" or link anything in an article. The best way to avoid this is by creating a link to an article such as the one explaining zines. Most commonly in articles the word "zine", or fanzine, is linked to the article about zines, but terms such as activist, or movements such as punk also have articles, as do hardcore, anarchism, Mail Art. You can click on the category heading at the bottom of every article and then go to "Terms" to find many more. Then just use whatever is applicable! Have fun editing!InvisibleFriend 01:32, 26 August 2007 (EDT)
